Thank you to all our parishioners for supporting our mission here at St. Alphonsus Liguori
Rev. Greg Wojcik, Pastor
Based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus Christ, stewardship acknowledges our dependence on God for all we have and all we are. It changes both the lives of the giver and the receiver.
Stewardship is returning our first-fruits.
It is central our Faith and to the way we live each day of our lives.
What portion of our time are we investing to enhance our parish life and to deepen our faith through prayer, study, worship, social action and fellowship?
Do we put God first in our daily lives? Is everything we do pleasing to God? What is our relationship with God?
What talents are we sharing for the betterment of our fellow parishioners? Are we praising God by all we do each day?
We respond in gratitude by sharing our God-given talents at our parish and at favorite charities. There many ministries to get involved in!
Treasure
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back. Luke 6:38 (RSV Catholic Ed.)
All material possessions, wealth, and property have been entrusted to us by God.
What planned proportionate and predetermined percentage of our income are we giving in a weekly offering as a shared investment in our parish's well being?
"Stewardship involves developing a need to give, rather than merely giving to a need."
"Stewardship is an understanding of a total way of life, a conversion of mind and heart."
"Stewardship is not about something we do, it is about who we are, and whose we are."
"Stewardship is about asking ourselves, "What do we own, and who owns us?"
"Stewardship is an act of worship, not an act of obligation."
