Bereavement: Meet with the family prior to the funeral to plan the funeral Mass readings, music and other necessary arrangements. Parish Office 847-255-7452

PADS: Oct.-April Saturday evening to Sunday mornings are broken into multiple shifts to host pre-screened adults and children who are homeless; Public Action to Deliver Shelter Volunteers provide and serve a hot dinner, a safe place to sleep and a bag lunch for the following day. Frank Mattison, 224-405-1964

Altar Server: FAMILIES (including parents & siblings) - Boys and girls - 3rd Grade through Middle School assist the celebrant at the altar during Mass. This is a litugical ministry. Contact the Parish Office 847-255-7452

Art & Environment: Create and care for the environment in the worship space, maintain plants, design floral arrangements and choose seasonal décor. Contact Parish Office, 847-255-7452

Athletic Association: Provides a forum for interscholastic competition that stresses sportsmanship, fair play, and positive self-esteem. Contact St. Alphonsus School 847-255-5538

Baptism Preparation: Couples prepare parents of children to be baptized at St. Alphonsus Liguori. - Baptism Interest forms are HERE - please complete and send to the Parish. Eucharistic Ministers: Distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to fellow Catholics during the Mass. Parish Office 847-255-7452.

Food Pantry: Provide food and other home supplies, as available, for the working poor or those temporarily in need. 1st and 3rd weekends of the month 10am - 12am. Residence and identifications requirements exist. Contact Alyce Gilarski 847-255-7452 x 143

Landscape & Garden Ministry: Focus on exterior facilities with warm and welcoming gardens for our 20-acre site. Call the parish office at 847-255-7452

Giving Tree Committee: Annual event providing children with gifts at Christmas for families registered with our Food Pantry. Parish Office 847-255-7452

Greeters: All ages ~ Welcome all people entering church for Sunday Mass. Time commitment is 1-1/2 hrs per month. Doreen Kelly-  847-255-7452 

Lectors: Confirmation and older ~ Proclaim the Holy Scripture and Mass intentions during Mass. Contact Doreen Kelly - 847-255-7452

Liturgy Committee: Evaluate liturgies to make them relevant and significant, train ministers, prepare for the liturgical season and plan for special celebrations. Contact Doreen Kelly, 847-255-7452 x 157.

Marriage Preparation: Assist couples who will marry at St. Alphonsus prepare for their marriage and life together. Doreen Kelly, 847-255-7452.

Men's Club: To gather our men together in a Christian environment for the purpose of fellowship, friendship and fun CLICK HERE.

Ministry of Care: Minister to the sick in hospitals, nursing homes and private homes as well as providing transportation, and assistance with bereavement ministry. Contact the Parish Office 847-255-7452

Totus Tuus / Vacation Bible School: Week long Catholic VBS/summer youth program dedicated to sharing the gospel, witness, Eucharistic worship and Marian devotion at St. Emily Parish, Mt. Prospect.

VIRTUS COMPLIANCE: 
You will be asked to create a Virtus account, complete a 1 hour online VIRTUS training class, submit to Criminal and DCFS Background Checks, complete the Archdiocesan Standards of Behavior form and complete Mandated Reporter Training.
