Proclaiming the word of God is the calling of a Lector. It is more than just reading. Lectors use their speaking talents & gifts to make the message clear for the whole community.

Whether the reading is familiar to everyone or if it is a less often heard text, a lector can make the scripture come alive and meaningful.

Lectors receive training to appreciate the message in the scripture and to proclaim it well. 

Lectors are called to this ministry by God and are scheduled for liturgies all throughout the year.
